DAY 2 AM: HEALTHY LIVING AND AGING AS A SERVICE
Population aging is a global phenomenon. In 2015, 12.3% of the global population was aged 60 or over. By 2030, this will have increased to 16.4% and by 2050, it will have increased to 21.3% of the global population, according to the UK’s Office for National Statistics.
We are an aging and ever-expanding population, with increasingly complex health needs. We are also increasingly aware of how our changing lifestyles are detrimental to health. What role can manufacturers and technology businesses play in helping us all to live healthier lives, for longer, and to have better outcomes when we need healthcare? And what lessons can be transferred to your own sector?

Programme
Servitization is turning the way we use and consume products and services on its head. Demand for services is increasingly rapidly year on year and we are all seeing this in the way we live our lives. When it comes to our homes, our lifestyles and our leisure time, we are increasingly choosing services over product ownership. Servitization Live showcases how the as-a-service trend affects us all on a daily basis, and not only this but, crucially, how services business models present the solutions to some of the biggest challenges our planet has faced such as climate change, a growing and ageing population and health crises. With four themes that we can all relate to in our everyday lives, Servitization Live challenges you to imagine how the learning from our consumer lives can be taken into your own industries and how you can innovate the services-led business models of the future.

We all want to live and work in a comfortable environment, that is heated or cooled to a good temperature, is lit appropriately and where the air is clean and safe. Not only this, but we all recognise that our energy consumption in the built environment has a huge impact on sustainability.
There are many as-a-service business models in this industry, and we will hear about several of them; how do they enable customers to focus on their core concerns (living or working in the building) while also reducing environmental impact?

DAY 3: CELEBRATING SERVICE INNOVATING SMEs
Day three of Servitization Live is dedicated to a celebration of regional SMEs and their innovation in services. We will showcase the very best of SMEs who have transformed their business models through servitization.
The SME Servitization Awards acknowledge and celebrate business leaders who have changed their approach, capitalising on their expertise and getting closer to their customers, all through the adoption of services based strategies and ultimately resulting in increased revenue.
